Lightning Fibre Brings the Bubbles to the Mayor’s Charity Ball in Eastbourne

Lightning Fibre is delighted to be sponsoring the welcome drinks reception at the Mayor of Eastbourne’s upcoming Charity Ball, taking place on Friday 20th March at the historic Winter Garden on Compton Street, Eastbourne.

All proceeds from Mayor Cllr Margaret Bannister's Charity Ball will go to her chosen charities for 2025 to 2026, which are Forward Facing and Eastbourne Street Pastors.

Hosted by Lewes and Eastbourne Council, the black-tie event brings together residents, businesses and community supporters for an evening of celebration and fundraising in one of the town’s most iconic venues.

Welcome Drinks and Harp Music

The evening begins at 7pm, when guests will be welcomed with a prosecco reception provided by Lightning Fibre, accompanied by live harp music from acclaimed harpist Margaret Watson. Guests will then enjoy a delicious three-course meal, followed by live music and dancing into the night.

A Full House and Fabulous Raffle Prizes

With more than 200 people expected to attend, the Charity Ball promises to be a lively and memorable occasion. The evening will also feature a raffle with a fantastic selection of prizes donated by local businesses, helping to raise even more funds.

Supporting Two Amazing Local Charities

Forward Facing supports families affected by serious illness or bereavement, offering practical help and compassionate support during incredibly difficult times.

The second charity, Eastbourne Street Pastors, has been a reassuring presence in the town since 2010.

Every weekend, trained volunteers head out onto the streets to listen, care and offer help, working alongside local venues, services and other partners to help keep Eastbourne safe at night.

Our First Time at the Mayor’s Charity Ball

This is the first time Lightning Fibre has sponsored the Mayor’s Charity Ball.

Emma Pearce, our Head of Marketing, said:
"We’re really looking forward to a fantastic evening. It’s wonderful to be involved in helping Margaret raise funds for two local charities. Lightning Fibre has previously worked with Forward Facing at Eastbourne Airbourne, supporting their inclusive viewing space, so we have seen the great work they do in action."
