Forward Facing & Lightning Fibre: Making Airbourne Truly Inclusive
At Lightning Fibre, we’re all about community - and we know that events like the incredible international airshow, Airbourne, should be for everyone.
That’s why we’re proud to support Forward Facing, a brilliant Sussex-based charity, that is providing an accessible viewing platform for families and children who might otherwise miss out.
Forward Facing supports families in Sussex whose children live with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, profound disabilities, or have experienced bereavement.
Their mission? Simple but powerful: provide fun, memory-making experiences and ongoing emotional support to those families.
Bringing Airbourne to Everyone
The dedicated viewing area will give families and children a safe and comfortable spot to enjoy the airshow from 14-17 August. This would certainly not otherwise be an option due to the incredibly large crowds and practical accessibility challenges of the beach.
Lightning Fibre is delighted to be backing Chelsea Spence who has teamed up with Candice, CEO at Forward Facing, to provide this accessible viewing area by providing £500 of sponsorship funds.
Our support also means that the Ace and Aimee Air Bear characters will make a surprise visit to the children and everyone can enjoy ice cream on the day too.

They run around 50 free and inclusive events a year, specifically designed to meet the needs of their families — from cosy family days out to larger gatherings where kids can be kids.
The charity also offers counselling, play therapy and bespoke experiences - all aimed at uplifting kids and parents alike, helping them feel joy, connection and support.
