Lightning Fibre’s network is built for business.

From the ground up, our active network has been engineered to deliver the capacity, resilience and performance demanded by modern business applications.

As well as offering our own full fibre network for businesses and residential consumers, regionally (South East), we also wholesale the City Fibre network nationally, delivered primarily through a network of trusted Managed IT Service Partners.

These symmetric, multi-gigabit networks guarantee minimum upload and download speeds of 100Mbps at the modem, up to 10Gbps (subject to regional availability).

Additionally, these FTTP business networks provide resilience to existing IT solutions, and ethernet services are also available (subject to availability).

Further networks will be added to the Lightning Fibre Business ISP offering in due course, providing further geographical coverage.

The Lightning Fibre Network
We offer two core services tailored for business customers:

FTTP Business Broadband

Delivered via our XGS-PON technology, this provides symmetric speeds of up to 2.5Gbps directly to the customer premises. Ideal for SME and multi-site businesses seeking high performance broadband.

Business Ethernet Services

Dedicated ethernet service up to 10Gbps, with support for point-to-point and multi-site ethernet connectivity.  We can interconnect multiple locations across our network to create private, high performance WAN solutions with guaranteed bandwidth and low latency.

For customers with critical availability requirements, we offer fully resilient solutions (RO2 equivalent) with diverse fibre routes and IP failover via BGP at the edge.
Our wholesale partners can receive customer traffic at Layer 2 via:
Local handoff within our service footprint
Mutual data centre delivery points

Built for scale and speed:

  • All major interconnections operate at 100Gbps or more
  • Multiple 100Gbps backhaul links connect our core to London for resilient Internet access
  • Our local access networks use diverse 100Gbps rings to eliminate single points of failure

We’re present in both local and national data centres, with core infrastructure split across physically diverse sites. Lightning Fibre peers at LINX and LONAP and maintains private connections to major carriers and content providers.

With typical latency to London under 4ms, and a network engineered to avoid congestion, your customers can rely on consistently high performance.
