Our engineers carried out a successful leased line/ethernet installation at Havelock place on Friday 4th September 2026. This project involved the installation of ducts from the external Openreach PIA structure, through the undercroft of the building into a basement riser.
From there internal MDU duct was taken up two floors where it exited into the space above the suspended hallway ceilings. Duct was installed and secured to cable trays above the ceiling, navigating through two internal walls, into the comms room via the first floor office space.
The fibre was then blown from the Openreach footway into the comms room where the duct was then secured and spliced into a patch panel.
Lightning Fibre really saved the day for us - installing at short notice after another provider didn't respond. We are so pleased that they were recommended to us - particularly since we have a commitment to use local providers whenever possible. The engineers from Lightning Fibre were amazing - so we are now confidently providing broadband across the whole of Havelock Place.
