Eastbourne’s award-winning international air show, Airbourne, is back this summer - and Lightning Fibre is proud to be part of it in a bigger way than ever.
Taking place from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th August 2025,Airbourne is now in its 31st year, and it’s easy to see why it continues to capture the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Voted Best Free UK Airshow in2024, it’s one of the most popular seaside events in the country, drawing thousands to the stunning East Sussex coastline.
Organised by Eastbourne Borough Council, the skies over Eastbourne will once again come alive with thrilling performances from the Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Wingwalking by 46Aviation SA, and more.
Alongside the breathtaking aerial displays, Airbourne 2025 promises a full programme of on-the-ground entertainment. Visitors will have the chance to meet the Armed Forces Recruiting Teams and try out a variety of interactive activities within the Military Exhibition Zone. Previous years have featured Virtual Reality experiences, the Batak reaction challenge, and even the opportunity to step aboard a replica RAF Chinook helicopter.
Lightning Fibre is supporting the event in three ways this year:
· By providing sponsorship to an amazing Sussex-based charity called Forward Facing. They will be providing a truly accessible viewing area for local young people with profound disabilities, life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, along with their families, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend on the busy beaches.
· Main sponsor of the Airbourne Lunch for Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce for the fourth consecutive year. This popular annual event brings together local businesses and professionals to connect and enjoy a great networking opportunity – along with stunning views of the flying from the rooftop of The View Hotel.
· Bringing our team down to join other stallholders along the seafront – we’ll have a free game for the children, along with some treats, plus the chance to win free broadband!
No event is complete without live music, and this year ‘Afterburn’ will deliver the official live music after-party on Saturday 16th August from7pm — a perfect way to keep the excitement going after a thrilling day of flying displays. The event will conclude on Sunday with a spectacular firework display from Wish Tower beach, lighting up the night sky. Buy Tickets for Afterburn.

Over the years, the Airbourne Chamber Lunch has also had a fantastic charitable impact. In 2024, over £2,300 was raised and will be donated to UCEP, a wonderful charity providing scholarships to children in West Africa. In 2023, the lunch raised a whopping £2,170 in support of Defiant Sports, a local organisation making sports accessible to all.
