From 4th to 6th July 2025, The Spirit of Tenterden Festival brought the town to life with three fantastic days of music, fun and family entertainment at Tenterden Recreation Ground.
Organised by the hardworking and passionate volunteers of The Spirit of Tenterden committee, the free festival once again delivered a jam-packed schedule, with more than 5000 attendees across the weekend! From live music and great food to local businesses, charities and family-friendly activities, it was a fantastic event.
Mary from the festival team said: “We’ve had lots of lovely feedback from festival-goers, with many saying it was the best so far. Our wonderful sponsors enable us to enhance the event each year – including the free children’s entertainment and activities programme that went down particularly well.”
As Main Stage sponsor, Lightning Fibre helped keep the music going all weekend and provided free, site-wide WiFi, keeping visitors, vendors and organisers connected throughout the event.
Highlights included the lively Bitten by Monkeys, crowd favourites Fit2Funk, the high-energy Mighty Sounds, and chilled Sunday sets from Lucy May Walker and The Chillbillies.
Our Head of Marketing, Emma Pearce, was there and said:
“The atmosphere was great – good music, a friendly crowd, and brilliant to see so many families dancing and enjoying it all. It was a real pleasure to be part of it.”
Our team was on-site throughout the weekend, chatting with visitors on our stand and getting lots of children involved in our coconut shy-style game!
Saturday and Sunday were all about high energy, with KidsFest offering free entertainment and activities for children of all ages. Popular attractions included the Walkabout Street Theatre and Robbie the Land Train, which chugged around the grounds bringing smiles to kids (and plenty of grown-ups too). Sunday’s dog show was great entertainment too!
Visitors were treated to a fantastic selection of food, drink and shopping too.
