All Hands Back on Deck as Lightning Fibre Supports Hastings Pirate Festival 2026

Ahoy, me hearties!

Hastings Pirate Festival 2026 returns to Hastings seafront on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2026, when the town will once again hoist the Jolly Roger.

Lightning Fibre is proud to return as headline sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, and our community crew-mates will once again be in the main arena at The Stade, Rock-a-Nore, so do drop anchor and say hello if you're passing through.

Walking the plank

Whether you're dressing up for the occasion or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there's plenty to enjoy across the weekend. Expect pirate parades, live music, street entertainment, family activities and plenty of opportunities to join in the fun throughout Hastings Old Town and along the seafront.

The Pirate Ball also returns from 7.00pm on Saturday 18 July at the East Hastings Sea Angling Association in Hastings Old Town. Tickets are available in advance from the festival organisers.

More info can be found on the festival's social page.

Backing a Hastings favourite

The event continues to be one of Hastings’ busiest and most popular weekends, thanks to the team led by our friend Anton Burton-Windsor.

Since 2020, the festival has continued to grow with new organisers led by Anton, with last year marking the first two-day event.

The same team also organise a number of other well-loved dates in the local calendar, including the St Leonards Frost Fair and Chinese New Year celebrations, both of which Lightning Fibre has been very glad to support over the past year.

Emma Pearce, Head of Marketing at Lightning Fibre, said:

"Hastings Pirate Festival has become one of the South Coast's best-loved community events, and we're delighted to support it for a fifth year.

Every year we're amazed by the creativity and effort that goes into the pirate costumes, and it's fantastic to see how the Hastings and St Leonards community gets behind the weekend. We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this year.

Whether you're a seasoned pirate or it's your first voyage to Pirate Weekend, we hope you have a brilliant weekend."

Plan your voyage

As Pirate Weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year in Hastings, visitors are encouraged to use public transport wherever possible. Hastings railway station is around a 20-minute walk from the Old Town, with regular services from Eastbourne, Bexhill, Rye, Ashford and London.

If you're travelling by car, allow extra time as roads, parking and the seafront are expected to be very busy throughout the weekend. Walking, public transport or car sharing are often the easiest ways to reach the festival.
