St Michael's Hospice Moonlight Walk Returns to Hastings This September
Lightning Fibre will be supporting the St Michael's Hospice Moonlight Walk, taking place on Saturday 26 September 2026, starting at The Stade Hall and Stade Open Space in Hastings Old Town.
Organised by the St Michael's Hospice fundraising team, the walk is a 7km Moonlight stroll under the Harvest Moon and starts at 6:45pm. The walk will give the hospice's supporters, with friends and families the chance to help raise funds for the charity's specialist care and support services across Hastings and Rother.
Tickets for the Moonlight Walk can be purchased online now.
Cheering walkers on
Visitors will find members of the Lightning Fibre team at the Event Village where we are sponsoring the main entertainment stage. We'll also be managing a 'cheer station' on the night, handing out glow sticks and giving support to walkers as they make their way up the hill to the Hospice refreshment stop!
This marks Lightning Fibre's first partnership with St Michael's Hospice and its sponsorship of the Moonlight Walk.
Emma Pearce, Head of Marketing at Lightning Fibre, said:
"We are really excited to be at St Leonards Gardens - one of the real WOW moments along the route with its beautiful lighting. St Michael's Hospice provides incredible support to so many people across Hastings and Rother and it's a pleasure to be involved with this wonderful event."

Moonlight memories
Alongside the walk itself, visitors can enjoy entertainment, food stalls, face painting and a memory screen where messages and photographs can be shared in honour of loved ones.
The event is suitable for all ages and even well-behaved dogs are welcome, making it a chance for families and friends to spend a special evening together in support of a local cause.
Support across Hastings and Rother
St Michael's Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care throughout Hastings and Rother, covering communities from Cooden to Ticehurst and from Ninfield to Camber.
During 2024-25, the charity supported 1,577 patients, including 211 inpatients, and carried out around 1,600 home visits. Its 24-hour support line answered more than 26,000 calls, providing advice and support to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
The Hospice also offers bereavement support to anyone in the local community who has experienced the loss of a friend or family member. Last year, around 470 people received support through individual and group sessions, amounting to more than 2,700 hours of care.
As with many hospices, much of this work depends on donations and fundraising. Taking part in the Moonlight Walk helps ensure these services remain available to local people when they need them most.
