On Your Marks: Lightning Fibre Returns as Sponsor of Hailsham Community Run 2026
Lightning Fibre is limbering up to sponsor the Hailsham Community Run 2026 again this year, taking place on Sunday 17th May back on Hailsham High Street.
The Hailsham Community Run has become a popular annual fixture in the town’s events calendar, attracting runners of all ages and abilities from across Hailsham and the wider East Sussex area.
Community Race Times
The confirmed race schedule for the Hailsham Community Run 2026 is:
🏁 3k – 9:30am - Well suited to junior runners and those new to organised running events.
🏁 1 Mile – 10:00am - Designed to be inclusive, particularly for children, disabled entrants and participants who prefer a shorter distance.
🏁 5k & 10k – 10:30am - A manageable challenge for many runners, while the 10k provides a longer course for more experienced participants.

The Route
All races start and finish on Hailsham High Street, after wrapping around Vicarage Road, creating a central location for runners, spectators and local supporters.
The course is generally flat, with only gentle inclines in certain sections. This makes it suitable for a wide range of abilities, from first time runners to experienced club athletes.
Road closures and marshals will be in place to help ensure the event runs safely and smoothly. Spectators are encouraged to line the route and support participants throughout the morning.
How to Enter
Registration for the Hailsham Community Run 2026 is now open. Runners can sign up online via the official event page on the Hailsham Town Council website. Further info, such as race number collection, first aid stations and parking info, can be found on the FAQS page.
Early entry is recommended as places are expected to fill. Last year the event sold out!
Backing a Well Loved Local Event
As part of our support for the Hailsham Community Run 2026, Lightning Fibre is sponsoring The Hive, the event’s DJ stage on the High Street. The stage helps create atmosphere throughout the morning, with music for runners as they warm up, set off and cross the finish line.
