Lightning Fibre’s local Full Fibre Broadband Network reaches Hastings
Eastbourne-based independent Full Fibre network builder, operator and ISP Lightning Fibre has launched its eagerly anticipated, symmetric Full Fibre broadband network in Hastings, which will eventually reach 47,000 homes and businesses across Hastings and St Leonards on Sea.
Councillor Paul Barnett cut the ribbon on the new primary node cabinet and commented that “We have campaigned for years to improve our connectivity, both physical and virtual, and it is great to see that we are about to benefit from hyper fast broadband. Hastings Council welcomed the decision by Lightning Fibre to build a Full Fibre network here back in 2020 and we’re delighted with the work being undertaken by this company.”
“Lightning Fibre is creating hundreds of local jobs, 23% of which are based here in Hastings, and they support, engage and invest in our community through events and sponsorship, including the Follow That Duck outdoor Art Trail presented by St Michael’s Hospice during 2022.”
Research shows that once an area has a symmetric full fibre network, property prices and local economies are positively impacted. Lightning Fibre is building a high-quality network across Sussex, creating quality local jobs and delivering hyper fast connectivity at an affordable and competitive price.
Ben Ferriman, Lightning Fibre’s Founder and CEO, added, “I am delighted to bring our new network to Hastings and St. Leonards. We have thousands of happy customers onboard, and we’re expanding rapidly across East Sussex due to overwhelming demand. We offer a fair pricing model, no inflationary in-contract price hikes, with a company-wide focus on customer care - reflected by our excellent Trustpilot rating. As a local firm, we really do care.”
