Lightning Fibre Supports Coastal Chamber Connections with the Bank of England
We’re excited to share that Lightning Fibre is supporting the upcoming Coastal Chamber Connections event featuring a speaker from the Bank of England.
Dr Catherine Mann is one of the 9 people who decide our UK interest rates each quarter.
The event takes place on Monday 10th November 2025, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at The Relais Hotel in Cooden Beach, East Sussex.
Hosted by the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce, Bexhill Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is designed for local businesses and professionals to connect, network, learn and share insights.
It promises to be an evening of conversation, collaboration, and valuable knowledge-sharing for our business community.
Event Highlights and Keynote Speaker
The evening will begin with a welcome drink, sponsored by Lightning Fibre, and attendees can also enjoy a buffet.
The highlight of the evening will be the keynote address by Catherine L. Mann, an External Member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the Bank of England.
Catherine will share her insights on the UK’s economic outlook, focusing on topics such as inflation, interest rates and consumption trends.
Prior to her appointment at the Bank of England, she was the Global Chief Economist at Citibank (2018 to 2021) and the Chief Economist, Head of Economics Department, and G20 Finance Deputy at the OECD (2014 to 2017). Read more about Catherine in her profile on the Bank of England website.
