Worthing is rolling out the picnic blankets and popcorn this August as Summer Showtime – Open Air Cinema comes to the beautiful Beach House Grounds from Wednesday 27th to Saturday 30th August.
Hosted by local charity Guild Care, this four-night celebration promises the ultimate summer vibes. But it’s not limited to movie night – there’s also a vibrant daytime village including live music, mouth-watering street food, a licensed bar, and family entertainment.
It’s the perfect recipe for a magical time with family and friends - and this year, Lightning Fibre is thrilled to be on board as a sponsor!
A Celebration for a Cause
Guild Care has been at the heart of Worthing for generations, providing essential support to the elderly, those living with dementia, and children and adults with learning disabilities. As one of Sussex’s largest charities, Guild Care supports over 3,000 people each year.
All proceeds from this year’s Summer Showtime go straight into funding their vital community services, so every ticket sold makes a real difference.

What’s Showing and When?
Each evening the gates will open from 7pm so you can enjoy the festival atmosphere - grab some food, listen to live music and chat before the film starts at around 8pm. Here’s the movie line-up for 2025:
- Wed 27th Aug – Up (2009) – The uplifting Disney Pixar adventure that’s as moving as it is magical.
- Thu 28th Aug – Notting Hill (1999, PG-13) – Romantic comedy gold with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
- Fri 29th Aug – Top Gun (1986, 15) – The high-flying classic starring Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis.
- Sat 30th Aug – Wicked (2024, PG) – The dazzling musical fantasy starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
