Lightning Fibre Set to Soar at Eastbourne Airbourne 2025
Eastbourne’s award-winning international airshow, Airbourne, is back this summer — and Lightning Fibre is proud to be part of it once again!
Taking place from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th August 2025,Airbourne is now in its 31st spectacular year, and it’s easy to see why it continues to capture the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Voted Best Free UK Airshow in 2024, it’s one of the most popular seaside events in the country, drawing thousands to the stunning East Sussex coastline.
Organised by Eastbourne Borough Council, the skies over Eastbourne will once again come alive with thrilling performances from the Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Wing walking by 46Aviation SA, and more.
Alongside the breath-taking aerial displays, Airbourne 2025 promises a full programme of on-the-ground entertainment. Visitors will have the chance to meet the Armed Forces Recruiting Teams and try out a variety of interactive activities within the Military Exhibition Zone.
Of course, most importantly, these events are for everyone. And one of the ways we are proud to support is by helping local charities such as Forward Facing, a local charity that supports families in Sussex whose children are living with cancer or life-limiting conditions, complex disabilities. terminal illness or bereavement
For the third year running, Chelsea Spence has teamed up with Sussex-based Forward Facing to bring back the accessible viewing area at Airbourne — and we’re thrilled to be supporting this fantastic initiative in 2025.
Originally launched in 2023 by Chelsea and Together Matters, the viewing area is a safe, welcoming space for local young people with profound and multiple disabilities and their families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend the busy beaches. For many, it’s made visiting Airbourne possible for the very first time. Alongside unbeatable views of the Airshow, visitors can enjoy surprise visits from Ace and Aimee Air Bear, who bring hugs, photos and plenty of smiles throughout the weekend.
No event is complete without live music, and this year ‘Afterburn’ will deliver the official live music after-party on Saturday 16th August from 7pm — a perfect way to keep the excitement going after a thrilling day off lying displays. The event will conclude on Sunday with a spectacular firework display from Wish Tower beach, lighting up the night sky.

With so much happening both in the air and on the ground, we’re excited to be at the heart of the action with our own Lightning Fibre trade stand. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the community, say hello to familiar faces, and meet plenty of new ones too.

This popular annual event brings together local businesses and professionals during the Airshow to celebrate, connect, and enjoy a great networking opportunity in a relaxed and buzzing atmosphere - with some amazing views from the roof of the View Hotel."
Over the years, the chamber lunch has raised money for good causes. In 2024, over £2,300 was raised and will be donated to UCEP, a wonderful charity providing scholarships to children in West Africa. In 2023, the lunch raised a whopping £2,170 in support of Defiant Sports, a local organisation making sports accessible to all.
