Lightning Fibre Kicks-Off the Season Supporting Polegate Grasshoppers FC
This season Lightning Fibre is proud to sponsor Polegate Grasshoppers FC, a fantastic community-led local youth football club.
The volunteer committee, that give so much time to the Club, have a real passion for giving children aged 4 to 18 the chance to enjoy football in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
With a growing number of boys, girls and mixed teams playing each weekend, the Grasshoppers embody everything that’s great about grassroots sport.
Emma Pearce, Head of Marketing at Lightning Fibre said “We love how football coaching and being part of team like the Grasshoppers, encourages confidence, builds friendships and teaches valuable life skills like discipline, respect and resilience.”
Their ethos, “Football for all,” ensures that no child is left on the side lines, regardless of their background or ability. It’s a mission we deeply admire and are proud to support.
Connecting Through Community: Polegate Summer Fun Day
We recently had the pleasure of spending time with the Grasshoppers at the Polegate Summer Fun Day, a family community event that we were both supporting.
Sam Saunders, Vice Chairman, and Secretary, Karen Barnes, hosted a brilliant ‘Beat the Keeper’ challenge. It was a joy to see local kids and families getting involved, sharing laughs, scoring goals and cheering each other on.
Lightning Fibre sponsored the bouncy castle slide so that it was free for everyone to enjoy and had a game on our stand to add more entertainment and fun.
Pitch-Side Pride at Westlords
As part of our sponsorship for the Grasshoppers this season, we’re excited to be unveiling a brand-new Lightning Fibre match board soon –which will be displayed pitch-side at Westlords, Queen Elizabeth Field – the home of the Club.
We are looking forward to having a kick-about with the youth teams soon too!
This visible sign of our partnership is a small symbol of a much bigger commitment: investing in our local community, supporting young people, and helping grassroots football continue to thrive here in East Sussex.
