Lightning Fibre hit the slopes for Eastbourne's 2022 Soapbox Race

The Lightning Fibre team completed the 2022 Eastbourne Soapbox Race course in 42 seconds, putting them in joint 8th position. The Car was sponsored by Southern IT (headline sponsor), Webro, Mills Ltd, M-Tech and Signtek and raised over £1,000 for local charity, Wayfinder Woman.

The car was driven by Lightning Fibre employees Kevin Berry and Nicola Maynard.

The event was organised by Visit Eastbourne and huge crowds could watch from the track sidelines or on the Big Screen in Helen Gardens.

The WayfinderWoman Trust is run by women, for women, and helps those who are feeling anxious and uncertain about themselves or their future. By building their self confidence and skills, these women are then able to challenge any barriers they face, helping them find a better life.

We're already planning for next year's race, and hope to smash our 42 second 'personal best'.
