Lightning Fibre Donates Life-Saving Defibrillator to Hailsham Boxing Club
Lightning Fibre is delighted to announce the donation of a brand-new community AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) to Hailsham Boxing Club, located on George Street, Hailsham.
The device was recently delivered to the club, marking another positive step in Lightning Fibre’s ongoing mission to support the health, safety and wellbeing of the local communities we serve.
Community Connections Through Hailsham Active
This initiative came about through Hailsham Active, with long-time community advocate Steve Wennington helping to guide Lightning Fibre towards the boxing club’s needs.
Steve is well known across the town for his work in promoting sport and wellbeing — from helping the popular Hailsham Community Run to supporting a range of local clubs and facilities, including helping us donate much-needed new equipment to the Hailsham Stingers and Bee’s Netball Teams.

A Safer Space for Local Athletes
The new defibrillator will be installed at Hailsham Boxing Club, providing vital, life-saving equipment for members, visitors and the wider community. Boxing is a sport that demands focus, fitness and discipline — and having an AED on-site ensures everyone can train and take part with greater peace of mind.
