As the headline sponsor of the Heathfield Show for the fourth consecutive year, Lightning Fibre was delighted to once again support this fantastic community event. The show, one of the South East’s premier one-day agricultural festivals, brought together families, friends, farmers, businesses, and countryside enthusiasts for a fun-filled day celebrating rural life.
From demonstrations and classes to live entertainment, farmers’ markets, shopping stalls, food vendors, and competitions, there was truly something for everyone. Events like these are a wonderful part of community life in East Sussex, and we are proud to play a key role in helping them thrive.

Full Fibre to the Farm
The major part of our support for this year’s show was providing free full fibre broadband across the entire showground — accessible to both traders and visitors. We installed 4km of fibre across the fields, by picking up off our network for local homes and businesses in Heathfield.

Emma Pearce also had the pleasure of catching up with Julian Wates who runs the Heathfield Chamber. Julian, a dedicated volunteer and local Heathfield marketing agency owner, spent the entire day helping visitors navigate the event —clocking up an impressive 25,000 steps!

The 2025 Heathfield Show was alive with activity from start to finish. Highlights included:

- Vintage tractor and steam engine displays
- A wide range of arts, crafts, farmers’ market stalls, and delicious local food vendors
