East Sussex based Broadband operator and ISP Lightning Fibre, founded in Eastbourne in 2018, is bringing its new Hyper fast network to Hastings and St Leonards on Sea, making them some of the best-connected towns in the UK.
Cllr James Bacon, Hastings’ Mayor, unveiled the new Primary Node Cabinet with Lightning Fibre CEO Ben Ferriman, and commented, “It is really exciting to officially unveil the Town Centre primary node cabinet. With a multi-million-pound investment secured in 2020, the firm has built a future-proofed Full Fibre broadband network in East Sussex, creating almost 200 local jobs, and improving the connectivity of thousands of homes and businesses.
Lightning Fibre takes a ‘community-centric’ approach, supporting grassroots football teams including Hastings Athletic FC U10s, Frost Fair, Pirate Day, and last year sponsored one of 30 Duck Sculptures for the St Michael’s Hospice Follow that Duck outdoor art trail, raising awareness and funds for the local hospice in Hastings.
