Family Football Fun Day in Hastings to Raise Funds for Conquest Hospital
Lightning Fibre is excited to be sponsoring the Friends of Conquest Hospital Family Football Fun Day on Sunday 10 May 2026, running from 10am to 6pm at The Pilot Field, Elphinstone Road, Hastings.
The free event is organised by the Friends of Conquest Hospital, at the home of our local sponsored football team, Hastings United, as well as Sussex Police, and will bring together local teams, families and supporters to raise funds for the Hospital.
The event is open to all ages and offers a full day out for families, with football, activities and fundraising.
Football and friendly competition
The day will begin with matches involving Hastings United’s academy and youth teams, followed by fixtures featuring inclusive and disability teams.
Visitors can take part in a range of challenges and games, including a Power Shot Challenge, Foot Darts, tombola and other prize-based games.
A selection of hot food and refreshments will be available, alongside a licensed bar.
Conquest VS District General
The main fixture is the established hospital cup match between staff from Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital.
The match has become a regular part of the hospital's local fundraising, with Hastings currently in the lead, having won four of the five games played to date. Who will take the trophy this year?
Raising funds for Conquest Hospital
The Friends of Conquest Hospital is a local charity that supports patients and staff by funding equipment, facilities and improvements beyond standard NHS provision.
Through community fundraising and events, the group has raised significant amounts over the years, helping to provide items that enhance patient care and comfort across the hospital.
Lightning Fibre has supported the Friends of Conquest Hospital previously, including donating a £500 prize to their Christmas raffle and we’re delighted to further support such an essential organisation.
