Eastbourne’s 999 Weekend Returns for 2026
Lightning Fibre will be returning to Eastbourne’s 999 Weekend on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May 2026 at the Western Lawns on Eastbourne seafront.
The free event runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and 11.00am to 4.30pm on Sunday. It is organised by Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, South East Coast Ambulance Service, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and RNLI, with support from Eastbourne Borough Council.
Get Up Close with the Emergency Services
The 999 Emergency Services Display event has become a popular fixture in the Eastbourne calendar and is expected to attract thousands of visitors from across the region.
Visitors will have the chance to meet emergency service personnel, see response vehicles up close, dress up in different uniforms and watch live demonstrations throughout the weekend.
Expect:
- Fire engines, ambulances and emergency response vehicles
- Police dog demonstrations
- Coastguard rescue displays
- Hands-on activities, including firefighting hoses
- Voluntary search and rescue teams
- Representatives from the French National Gendarmerie
- Opportunities to speak with frontline emergency service personnel
Returning for a Fifth Year
This will be Lightning Fibre’s fifth year attending the festival.

Children always love getting inside all the vehicles and trying on kit too!
