The role
The purpose of this role is to undertake Lightning Fibre’s full fibre installations in a professional, personable and timely manner.

Key task and responsibilities
- Full fibre installations from the fibre pot into the Lightning Fibre equipment on premise.
- Fibre blowing.
- Fibre splicing (aerial nodes, UG joints, customer premise splicing).
- Fibre cabling, rodding, roping fibre to premise.
- Working at heights (poles, lifts and ladders).
- Positive representation of Lightning Fibre to the public and build rapport with customers whilst onsite.
- Provide install progress/whereabouts updates.
- Diagnose fibre faults.
- Health & Safety compliance.
- Fill paperwork with attention to detail, real time feedback.
Skills and competencies required
- Essential: NRSWA, Unit 2 Street Works Signing, Lighting & Guarding accreditation.
- Essential: Smart awards accreditations, PIA relevant.
- A team player, highly organised, confident and good communicator.
- Time management for daily workload.
- Ability to use own initiative where appropriate.
- A dynamic mindset, dexterity in areas where help is needed.
- Right first-time accuracy with all aspects of work.
- Essential: full UK driving licence.

Lightning Fibre was established in 2018 and is the leading local alternative network provider of symmetric full fibre broadband in East Sussex. We build and operate our own network from our headquarters in Polegate.
Our broadband network can supply our standard installed customers with anything up to 10 Gigabits in both download and uploads.
We are a community orientated network operator, whose aim is to significantly upgrade our region’s broadband infrastructure. By providing local jobs and keeping local £’s in the areas we serve, we act as a vital enabler to grow our digital local economy.
