About this role:

Lightning Fibre is the leading local alternative network for Full Fibre broadband in East Sussex. We are headquartered in Eastbourne where our existing broadband network is. Our broadband network has the ability to supply everyone with not just 1 Gigabit broadband but with multi Gigabits and not just download either, uploads too.

We are a community orientated network operator, whose aim is to significantly upgrade our regions broadband infrastructure, providing local jobs and acting as a vital enabler to grow our digital local economy, thereby creating further quality jobs. Lightning Fibre has bold plans afoot with Eastbourne and Hastings at the forefront.

Purpose of the job:

This exciting role is ideal for someone looking to pursue a new career in telecoms/ Project Management, or a recent graduate. As an entry level position, the Project Assistants will be working alongside the Project Manager throughout their probation. All required training will be provided.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • To provide a full range of administrative duties involving co-ordinating and organising relevant information for town planning.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules and work hours.
  • Updating the programmes of work with relevant information.
  • To create, maintain, update, and monitor computerised information systems and support the teams as required.
  • Preparation and follow up of necessary presentation materials/ reports for meetings.
  • Assisting in notification of all project changes to required stakeholders.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • To research, analyse and present data from databases and information systems, in a user-friendly format to the team, and other departments as required.

Skills and Ability:

  • Exceptional verbal, written and communicative skills for effective interaction with all colleagues and project stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met, with the ability to prioritise workload without close supervision.
  • Resourceful, with the ability to retrieve and organise information from a variety of sources
  • Competency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Personal Qualities:

  • Interest in civils or utilities industry (preferred).
  • Interested in a future in Project Management.
