About this role:

Lightning Fibre is a brand new local full fibre broadband internet provider, growing rapidly in Eastbourne and launching soon in Hastings with ambitious plans across East Sussex for the future.

We are expanding our full time sales team, recruiting 2 new Customer Engagers to join our team in Hastings.

You’ll be creating a buzz across town about our brand, identifying potential customers and ensuring that - as we reach their area - they convert to our service as a happy, long standing customer.

Ensuring that our brand is well recognised and well respected is very important to our ongoing success - we are delivering an outstanding customer service as well as an outstanding product.

The position will appeal to people who like a fast paced, challenging and varied workplace. You’ll be a self-starter, with lots of enthusiasm, willing to get ‘stuck in’ to help this new business thrive.

Your role will be customer-facing - on the door, on the phone and at events.

The role is shift-based, including some evenings and weekends. Initially, a degree of flexibility will be possible with your shift patterns, if required.

Key task and responsibilities:

  • Door to door canvassing - promoting our network to homes and businesses across Hastings;
  • Telephone follow up sales calls to a warm prospect list;
  • Identify and engage with local Businesses to promote our network;
  • Promote and champion the Lightning Fibre brand;
  • Undertake online and offline marketing and communication campaigns and help with and contribute to marketing ideas;
  • Answer any incoming calls and emails, and resolve any issues proactively and in a timely manner;
  • Make outbound calls and send emails for example onboarding new customers, customer satisfaction calls, trouble shooting and upgrade / renewal calls;
  • Attendance at events - sometimes at weekends - to promote Lightning Fibre and engage with potential customers (these events may be in Eastbourne as well as Hastings and surrounding areas);
  • Processing orders and pre-orders;
  • Providing first-line customer support to provide a great customer experience;
  • Door to door flyering.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic, confident and hard-working;
  • The ability to influence and inspire;
  • Previous experience in a customer service or sales, in both face to face and phone setting is preferable;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • An agreeable manner - tenacious but not pushy;
  • Presentable and professional;
  • Team player.

Desirable:

  • Interest in broadband and telecoms technologies;
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software.
