Lightning Fibre helps Environment Hailsham to bring more colour to the town.

Lightning Fibre CEO, Ben Ferriman, handed over a cheque for £500 to help Environment Hailsham to brighten up the streets of Hailsham with planted flowers. Richard Grocock, Chairman of Environment Hailsham, pictured, was pleased to receive this cheque and show Ben some of the flowers the sponsorship has helped fund.

This support is a statement of intent by local East Sussex-based company Lightning Fibre, to demonstrate that they are a partner to the town, actively supporting the community, whilst improving the outdated broadband network.

Ben Ferriman, CEO, commented, "It's important to me and my team that our company invests both time and money in the towns we serve; I am delighted to make this donation to the town, and hope everyone enjoys the colour it brings this summer."

As well as building a Full Fibre network, Lightning Fibre are creating local jobs and inward investment. The company already supports Hailsham Active and Hailsham Cricket Club, Hailsham Bonfire Society and The Hailsham Festival.

Chairman of Hailsham Active, Steve Wennington, commented: “We are very appreciative of the financial support and engagement from Lightning Fibre, enabling us to support many of our amazing local sports and recreation clubs.”.

Lightning Fibre started building its local network in Eastbourne in 2020, announced its expansion to Hailsham in March 2021, and completed the build in north Hailsham in July 2022.  The build continues South, with the whole of Hailsham being connectable by Christmas 2022.
