New CFO joins Lightning Fibre to help take the company to its next stage of growth.
Since 2018, Lightning Fibre has seen rapid growth from just CEO Ben Ferriman’s dream to becoming a reality - and a hugely successful reality at that. Finance Director, Mark Hutchings, who worked with WightFibre before joining the team at Lightning Fibre, helped develop the business model to attract the initial external funding agreement.
Hutchings was instrumental in building the management team, securing funding, initiating the network build and driving demand.
He steps aside to focus on new projects, as the company plans to double its workforce and expand the network. In doing so, Mark commented that, “Everyone has worked extremely hard to get Lightning Fibre to where it is today and that is a huge part of the reason for taking the business further.
So, as Lightning Fibre enters the next exciting chapter it is clear that the CFO role needs to be full time and office based to support the finance and leadership team in achieving the company’s goals.”
Michael Postle brings a wealth of experience in finance and growing businesses, and most recently in developing a tech business which was sold to Sky.
Michael added, “I join a hugely successful company at a time of rapid growth, the energy and determination of the entire team really excites me, and I look forward to helping grow this business in my role as Chief Finance Officer.”
