Fed up with rubbish Broadband? Help is on the way. Lightning Fibre is a home and business network operator and ISP based in East Sussex delivering hyper fast and hyper reliable broadband connectivity to Hailsham. We have started our build in the North, then we'll move South.
Our plans include almost every home and business in Hailsham and our new network is being built right now. We do not use the old BT copper wiring, which is slow and unreliable. Even a 'fibre' network, which you may be using currently, will include some old wiring. Our 'Full Fibre' network does not - our network connects your home or business directly to the exchange using fibre optics all the way.
Once our network is built and tested, we release it for sale - this means when you search your address, you will be given the option to switch to a Lightning Fibre full fibre broadband package. If we're still building the network in your area, you'll be prompted to register your interest; this allows our Community Engagement Team to reach out to you by phone and email with updates about your specific address as we progress towards your home or business.
We use local construction teams, local installers, and local customer service. We're actively involved with Hailsham Chamber of Commerce which exists to support and encourage growth and prosperity within the business community of Hailsham.
We are a local network operator and ISP based in Eastbourne, building a future proofed cutting-edge full fibre broadband network, providing a quality service with the added bonus of doing so with a community-centric approach.
When you 'buy local' you're part of the circular economy; creating more local jobs, local investment and local growth. Lightning Fibre is committed to making a real and lasting difference here in Hailsham and the surrounding area.
Councillor Roy Galley, Wealden Cabinet member for economic development commented “Rural areas have been held back by low broadband speeds. This fibre network investment should really speed things up – for local businesses, for everyone involved in learning whatever their age, and for our social lives.
“The past year has shown us how important good internet connections are for everything we do. I am very glad see that a local firm, using local employees, will be carrying out the work.”
