Our field sales team do more than just door canvassing; that’s why at Lightning Fibre the team are known as ‘community engagers’. You’ll be attending events, visiting homes and businesses, and liaising with local community groups and charities. We also have trade stands at private sites including train stations.  We also have a retail shop, where you maybe needed from time to time.

As a community engager, you will be responsible for generating sales leads for our tele-sales team. You won’t be required to actually sign people up to the service; we follow a two stage process so you can focus on having good conversations without the need to ‘close the deal’, which means the approach is more relaxed and less pressured – for both parties!

We are looking for enthusiastic lead generation team members to join our high-energy sales team. You will talk to the public about our amazing broadband on their doorstep, at events, train stations and other public areas.

Our friendly, professional in-house community engagers have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong background in sales, tenacity and the ability to provide good quality information on a range of services.

Ultimately, a high-quality community engager is someone who can relate to and connect with people face-to-face and promote the company’s services without coming across as aggressive or pushy.

Responsibilities

●    Good product knowledge

●    Travel to specific canvassing locations (within a 40-mile radius)

●    Approaching and talking to people in shopping centres, on the street, and at their homes about the company

●    Obtaining personal contact information

●    Making cold calls from the office

●    Answering questions about the company and service

●    Maintaining a professional appearance and behaviour

●    Meeting targets

●    Recruiting and training new engagers.

Requirements

●    Sales experience

●    Excellent interpersonal skills

●    Ability to sell and influence

●    Ability to work between the hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday

●    Ability to travel extensively

●    Ability to work outdoors

●    Ability to walk and stand for long periods

●    Full driving licence.

Working Hours

40 hours per week plus breaks.
